Amina Bakyt
Aspiring Tax Attorney

Welcome! I’m Amina Bakyt, a junior at Rutgers Business School majoring in Accounting with a minor in Human Resource Management. This website is a space where I share my academic journey, professional experiences, and long-term career aspirations as I prepare for a future in tax law.

I have always been drawn to fields that require precision, critical thinking, and strong ethical judgment. Accounting challenged me to think analytically and approach problems with structure, while my exposure to legal environments showed me how financial knowledge plays a vital role in shaping responsible and effective legal decisions. Together, these interests naturally guided me toward pursuing a career as a tax attorney.

Alongside my studies, I work as a legal assistant and translator at immigration law firms. In these roles, I support case preparation, organize legal documentation, and assist with client communication. Working in fast-paced professional settings has strengthened my attention to detail, accountability, and ability to manage responsibilities with care and confidentiality. These experiences have not only expanded my practical knowledge but have also confirmed my desire to build a career within the legal field.

I am also the founder of Lumina Business Solutions, a business consulting firm that has given me the opportunity to view professional relationships from a leadership perspective. Running a business has taught me the importance of trust, clear communication, and adaptability which are the lessons that continue to shape both my academic and professional growth.

In addition, I am a member of Phi Alpha Delta, a professional law fraternity dedicated to fostering integrity, service, and excellence within the legal community. Being part of this organization allows me to connect with like-minded peers, engage in professional development opportunities, and continue strengthening the foundation for my future legal career.

Beyond my professional goals, I believe strongly in continuous learning and self-development. Whether through coursework, professional experience, or new challenges, I actively seek opportunities that push me to grow and refine my skills.

This site reflects both where I am today and where I am headed. More than anything, it represents my commitment to building a thoughtful, disciplined, and purpose-driven career.
